She started trying to talk on day 34, and eventually left the ICU to go into rehab. When we got to a rehab hospital, she was on a feeding tube, on daily heparin and everything else that is required to keep the body going. It has now been almost 4 months, she is now at home but does not walk. She has regained most of her eating ability, is not on a feeding tube anymore, but she is still unable to walk. She has lost all sense of balance. Her speech has come back slurred and slow, but we work on it daily. We realize we are already very blessed that she is even alive, but we believe there is more that can still be done. She has 3 young children that need her and our goal is to see her walking again. Before her stroke, she was a very active young mom. She played soccer, water skied, cross country skied and was very involved with her kids in sports and at school. Her youngest just turned 2 and her oldest is only 11. Please let me know if you think you can help us. Her stroke not only happened to her, it happened to her whole family. She is the youngest of 6 kids and we are all devastated. We will do anything it takes to help her reach her full recovery potential. I look forward to hearing from you.

Please help!
